This proximity to a real town is a major draw compared to Alpine resorts where you're stuck in a purpose-built village. The nearest international airport is Bucharest (OTP), 158km away, which is a 2.5–3 hour drive but manageable for arrival and departure.

The seasonal community here revolves around ski instruction and hospitality, with English-speaking instructors earning roughly €10–15 per hour (€1,500–2,000 monthly for full-time work) and positions also available in hotels, restaurants, and lift operations. Staff accommodation isn't always provided directly by the resort, but employers like ski schools typically help arrange apartments in Brașov, and the commute is straightforward.
